Teachers who attend the ESP conference can be funded by the Socrates programme through:
• existing Comenius 1 project budget (Comenius 2 if they are involved as teacher trainers)
• Comenius 1 preparatory visit if they intend to set up new Comenius projects
• Comenius Network conference contact/thematic seminars

The Comenius 1.0 contact seminar begins with arrival in the evening of Tuesday, March 6th, 2007.
Remember that the whole conference acts as a contact seminar so you can get all fees, travel and stay funded by your national Socrates agency.
A special opportunity for teachers, who wish to start new transnational collaborations in the form of a Comenius projects, to find partners, come to know them and discuss the future cooperation.
The programme of the Contact seminars starts (March 7) with additional lectures dedicated to the introduction of CSCL with emphasis on Comenius projects. Extra workshops are given on E-Twinning and E-Journalism.
The participants of the Contact and Thematic Seminar can take a fully-integrated role in the ESP conference that follows.
The Contact Seminar price is:  € 625 (hotel costs and conference fee, one extra meal)

This conference will be a conference for teachers by teachers focusing on sharing good examples of exciting usage of ICT for learning and teaching.
We hereby ask teachers, educators, developers and researchers to submit their ideas for innovative, magic workshops on using ICT in education.

• designing, planning and evaluation of Computer Supported Collaborative Learning and other innovative projects
• teachers’ professional development in internationalisation, project-based learning and teaching, and ICT-usage
• exploration of electronic learning environments and advanced ICT-tools for collaborative learning and teaching

• debate and discuss relevant issues of lifelong teacher competence development with colleagues
• familiarise oneself with best practices and projects based on Collaborative Learning and Educational use of ICT
• take part in workshops for the implementation/follow-up of Computer Supported Collaborative Learning projects
• find partners for the development of collaborative projects
• attend presentations which contextualize and give a deep insight into both the technical and human challenges ICT-innovation of education and CSCL entail
• share experiences and exchange views with partners from other countries
• get acquainted with the latest developments in the field of interactive resources for teachers involved in innovative CSCL projects
